Born in 1959. Graduated in Political Science in 1984 at Luiss – Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli, Rome.

Diplomatic career

• 1985 - 1987: Department for Migrations and Social Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rome;

• 1987-1992: First Secretary of the Embassy of Italy in Canada;

• 1992-1994: Consul of Italy in Toulouse;

• 1994 -1997: Department of Human Resources of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rome;

• 1997-2000: Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York;

• 2000-2004: Consul General of Italy in Montreal;

• 2000-2004: Permanent Representative of Italy to the International Civil Aviation Organization in Montreal;

• 2004-2005: Deputy Chief of the Secretary General’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rome;

• 2005-2006: Director of the United Nations Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rome;

• 2006-2009: Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Justice, Rome;

• 2009-2010: Ambassador, Deputy Permanent Representative of Italy to the United Nations in New York;

• 2010-2012: Minister, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Italy in the United States;

• 2012-2013: Chief of Staff to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rome;

• 2013-2017: Ambassador of Italy to Canada;

• 2017-2018: Chief of Staff to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rome;

• since 2.7.2018: Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Italy to the International Organisations in Geneva.
