This year&#8217;s edition is dedicated to &#8220;Real Life Heroes&#8221;, all humanitarian workers at the frontline, especially those who served fighting against the COVID-19.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The United Nations lauched a dedicated website for the WHD 2020\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldhumanitarianday.org\">https:\/\/www.worldhumanitarianday.org<\/a>\u00a0that will be updated throughout the celebrations with all the initiatives organized in the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A commemorative ceremony will be held in Geneva at 3 pm today, livestreamed at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/webtv.un.org\">http:\/\/webtv.un.org<\/a>\u00a0with the participation of the Director-General of the United Nations Office in Geneva, Tatiana Valovaya, and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The World Humanitariad Day (WHD) 2020 is celebrated today.
