The Italian Strategy for Virtual and Augmented Realities was presented by Italy\u2019s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Luigi Vignali, on the occasion of the third United Nations \u201cVirtual Worlds Day\u201d, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).<\/p>\n
The Italian Strategy for Virtual and Augmented Realities supports the digitalization of the Public Administration and integrates new virtual interfaces into public services for citizens. Ambassador Vignali also recalled the immersive cultural experience made possible by Virtual Worlds, which open up museums, monuments and works of art to very broad audiences. In his remarks, he further underlined Italy\u2019s commitment, alongside the United Nations, to the \u201cAI Hub for Sustainable Development\u201d initiative, aimed at promoting emerging technologies in Africa and strengthening local digital talent.<\/p>\n
