Born in Uccle (Belgium) on September 11th, 1959. Graduated at "Luiss" Rome University in Political Science in 1984.

 

Diplomatic carreer

• 1985: Entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

• 1986-1987: Directorate General for Migration

• 1987-1992: Second Secretary at the Embassy of Italy in Ottawa

• 1992-1994: Consul General in Toulouse

• 1992-1997: Human Resources Deparment

• 1997-2000: Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York

• 2000-2004: Consul General in Montreal and Permanent Representative to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)

• 2004-2005: General Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

• 2005-2006: Head of the Multialteral Political Affairs and Human Rights Office

• 2006-2009: Diplomatic Counsellor to the Minister of Justice

• 2009-2010: Minister Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York

• 2010-2012: Minister at the Embassy of Italy in Washington

• 2012-2013: Head of the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs

• 2013-2017: Ambassador of Italy in Ottawa

• 2017-2018: Head of the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs
