The Farnesina celebrates the Italian National Day

The Farnesina celebrates the Italian National Day

Digital, innovative, sustainable, competitive, inclusive: Italy starts again from the future in the video made by the Farnesina to celebrate Republic Day all over the world through the network of Embassies, Consulates and Italian Cultural Institutes.

The video tells the story of a country that is getting back on track, starting with the key words of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The images are accompanied by music composed by Ennio Morricone for "Mission" and "Nuovo Cinema Paradiso", performed by the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia: a tribute to the composer, almost a year after his death, and to the evocative power of his music.

Republic Day will also be celebrated around the world with a performance of the National Anthem by the Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini conducted by Maestro Riccardo Muti. The recording was made especially for the Farnesina and its network abroad at the Teatro Municipale di Piacenza, with the involvement of its 54-piece choir.

Both videos are available on the YouTube and social channels of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will be enhanced by the diplomatic-consular network and the Italian Cultural Institutes: over 300 offices worldwide.
