An important delegation of the United States Council for International Business, visiting Geneva for meetings with international organizations and United Nations agencies, was received by the Permanent Mission of Italy in the framework of an interactive dialogue on the priorities and contribution of the private sector in the agri-food, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. The exchange covered a wide range of issues, from the centrality of innovation and the role of intellectual property protection to the sustainability and inclusiveness of production processes.
The participation of Ferrero North America provided an opportunity to highlight how the Group has long supported responsible practices, product quality, the promotion of balanced dietary habits and accurate consumer information.
In his remarks, Ambassador Luigi Vignali emphasized the importance of open dialogue with the private sector and civil society, so that companies “can contribute as part of the solutions” to the shaping of international policies, alongside States, international organizations, the scientific community and consumers.
