The Italian Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Gian Lorenzo Cornado, delivered todya a statement during the general debate of the 58th series of WIPO General Assemblies.
Ambassador Cornado highlighted the importance of a balanced, holistic and effective international intellectual property system, in line with Agenda 2030.
The Permanent Representative also reiterated the Italian request for a more incisive promotion activities by WIPO, with a view to reinforcing the Lisbon Union and protecting geographical indications.
