Board of International Training Centre of ILO of Turin – Ambassador Cornado deliver his speech

At the 82nd annual session of the Board of the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization of Turin (ITCILO), hold in Geneva on October 25, 2019, the Permanent Representative of Italy, Ambassador Gian Lorenzo Cornado, delivered a speech highlighting the continuous support that “Italy, as major contributor to the ITCILO, provided to the Centre”. Ambassador Cornado also stated that the Centre “should be seen as a key asset in the development and delivering of training within the UN Sustainable Development Group”.

Founded in 1964 by the ILO and the Government of Italy, the Centre’s mission is to achieve decent work for all women and men at a global level, providing quality and continuous training and education opportunities to UN Staff. The daily mission of Centre is also contributing to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal No 8: “Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment, and decent work for all”.

It is led by a Senior Management Team, chaired by the Director (Yanguo LIU), and organized into thematic departments.
