The World Humanitariad Day (WHD) 2020 is celebrated today. This year’s edition is dedicated to “Real Life Heroes”, all humanitarian workers at the frontline, especially those who served fighting against the COVID-19.
The United Nations lauched a dedicated website for the WHD 2020 https://www.worldhumanitarianday.org that will be updated throughout the celebrations with all the initiatives organized in the world.
A commemorative ceremony will be held in Geneva at 3 pm today, livestreamed at http://webtv.un.org with the participation of the Director-General of the United Nations Office in Geneva, Tatiana Valovaya, and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet.
