International Migrants Day 2021

The United Nations today celebrates International Migrants Day, established by the General Assembly on 18 December 1990. This occasion commemorates the contribution that migrants make to the societies and economies of all countries around the world.

This year, the Day was dedicated to the impact of COVID-19 on human mobility, the inclusion of migrants in national health responses, and the role they can play in post-pandemic socioeconomic reconstruction.
