Today, 3 October, Italy has been re-elected to the Council of the International Telecommunication Union – ITU, at the Plenipotentiary Conference under way in Bucharest.
The re-election, with very broad consensus, confirms Italy’s eminent role at the ITU, the Geneva-based United Nations Agency specialized in Information and Communication Technologies, and represents yet another recognition of our Country’s unremitting commitment within the Organization.
Italy has also recorded another success: the election of Mauro Di Crescenzo, engineer, to sit among the 12 members of the Radio Regulations Board, the technical committee on radio frequencies.
