During today’s plenary session of the Conference on Disarmament, Ambassador Vinicio Mati reiterated Italy’s firm condemnation of the four ballistic missile launches by the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea of 6 March 2017. Amb. Mati also reaffirmed that the repeated missile tests, compounded the development of a nuclear arsenal by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, constitutes a threat to international peace and security and an open violation of the UN Security Council Resolutions. Italy is ready to join the firm and cohesive response of the International Community.
